It’s Brimfield time again – and I am delighted to say that this time I am actually going! Hurricane Irene put a damper on our porch building project, (our stone mason now plans to start Tuesday) and on Friday evening, my parents arrive for their first visit to the East coast since our wedding back in 2007. It will be the first time that they see the country house, and there is a lot of preparation to make it up to mom’s standards, if you know what I mean.I won’t be able to stay at Brimfield as long as I had hoped, but at least I will be able to get one full day of treasure hunting in! What makes this Brimfield trip even better? Cynthia from The Daily Basics, and Grecthen from Gretchen Aubuchon Design have partnered for a second time to plan the #Brimfield Tweet-Up. As I write this post today, ninety-three (yes, 93!) of my nearest and dearest Twitter friends plan to be at the Tweet-Up tent next Thursday and Friday.Besides socializing (and treasure hunting) there will be contests like Trash To Treasure by Pandora de Balthazar. She’ll be giving away $1500 in luxury bedding – uh, hello? Sign.Me.Up! I’ll also be meeting many of the people that I chat with daily on Twitter for the first time including editors from Traditional Home, Better Homes and Gardens, and the folks from Benjamin Moore. If you want to know more: we’ll be talking about antiques, treasure hunting, building a collection, and all things Brimfield this evening on #DesignTV. That is right, click right here to follow the conversation at at 5pm ET/2pm PT ~ see you there!
