It’s been a while since I wrote a ‘do you know?’ post. I first learned about Hudson Goods when we visited a nearby country store in Northwestern Connecticut. We ordered fried egg sandwiches and ate breakfast at this industrial cafeteria table. While it was clear to me that I wasn’t eating breakfast at an old dining table, I was impressed by the quality and rustic feel that it gave the space. I know many are saying that the industrial trend is over in interior design. Even though the Pottery Barn’s and Restoration Hardware’s of this world have beaten it to death, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for modern, clean lined, rustic decor. I’d love to have a piece or two from Hudson Goods mixed into our home furnishings. The lived-in, not too precious feel is exactly the warmth I am looking for.
